Pick of the Day 12/18...
FREEWAY! It's Reese witherspoon before she was totally useless. Featuring my favorite insult du jour, "Well, look who got beat with the ugly stick!" Costarring Kiefer Sutherland, Brooke Shields, Amanda Plummer...the list goes on. It's is a total campy delight. But you've probably already seen it...

yes! this is one of my favorite films. i had such high hopes for reese witherspoon after i saw this film... but then she just turned into julia roberts (besides her performance in election). in this she is completely brilliant, kicking ass all over the place and being generally ridiculous as 'the troubled girl done wrong'. and the cameos by brooke shields, amanda plummer, and even brittany murphy were equally as entertaining. i definitely recommend it as well.
Brooke Shields never has and never will have a more wonderful screen moment than in 'Freeway.' Amanda Plummer is also pretty classic as Reese's whore mother. I can't remember if you saw the sequel. One would think a film with Vincent Gallo as a Mexican nun with a twelve-inch penis should be amazing... unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I've never understood the appeal of Natasha Lyonne.
